Landscape Photoshoot

Black & White Square Format Landscapes

Today I finally got the chance to venture outdoors along with my Nikon F80 film camera, loaded with black and white film and begun to shoot and experiment with my square format landscapes. I have already tried these out in digital (Digital Square Format) but felt it was time that I revisited analogue photography. There is nothing quite like the anticipation of waiting to see what the images you have taken are going to turn out like and there is something quite alluring about the darkroom and the smell of the chemicals and then the satisfaction of seeing the final results after all of the hard work.

I have no idea how my images are going to turn out, but even if I just get one nice image from the two rolls of film that I took, then I will be happy. The film is slightly out of date but hopefully this will not prove to be an issue.

The shoot took place at Rutland Water on a rather cloudy and dull day….fingers crossed that my film photography skills have not diminished.

Looking forward to getting into the darkroom tomorrow to develop the two rolls of film, then hopefully on Wednesday I will be able to start printing the images, time permitting!
